The English artist Edward Wadsworth was famous for his close connection to Vorticism, an art movement that developed parallel to cubism. He painted coastal pictures, abstract motifs, portraits and still lifes – mostly with tempera paints. After his time in the navy, he often devoted himself to nautical motifs.
