Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an Italian painter who became famous for his depictions of organic objects such as fruits, vegetables and flowers. What may seem like a collection of random objects in his paintings, are carefully planned and thought out works of art. Arcimboldo was a master of perspective and made his portraits seem three-dimensional. He is considered a forerunner of the Surrealist movement.
