Many of the mysteries of Hieronymus Bosch may never be revealed, as his images and symbols stemmed from his inexhaustible imagination and move between knowledge and perdition. With his remarkable genius, he interpreted the biblical world through curious, grotesque, and sometimes even demonic mythical creatures or beasts, as in ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights’ or ‘The Temptation of Saint Anthony’.
