Michael Peter Ancher was a 19th-century Danish artist. He was one of the Skagen painters, Denmark’s most famous community of artists. Ancher became best known for his paintings of familiar depictions of Skagen, for example, ‘Skagen Fisherman’ and ‘Girl in a Pink Dress, 1914’. His works are truly classic and reflect the real world.
